It is a pleasure to welcome you to 1454 Harrow Squadron Air Training Corps. We have a unique and distinguished history since our formation in 1941, where 436 cadets from 1454 Harrow Squadron served in World War 2. We are the oldest ATC squadron to operate continuously since formation without a break in the London Borough of Harrow.

The modern-day Royal Air Force Air Cadets aims to;
  • To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
  • To provide training which will be useful both in Service and in civilian life.
  • To foster the spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
In recent years, the Squadron has received a number of achievements and accolades including;
  • 1995 - Guinness World Record for the fastest rope pull of concord
  • 2015 - Winning the Dacre Sword for the best cadet
  • 2023 - Involvement in the Coronation King Charles III
We support local events for Remembrance Sunday, Battle of Britain and various mayoral functions. In recognition of this long-lasting commitment to the community, the Squadron was awarded the ‘Freedom of the Borough’ in 2014.

We currently welcome new Cadets to join between 12-16 and for those who are over 20 there are a range of pathways to volunteer within our organisation. Check out our Recruitment Page for more.
